The next course will be in the summer of 2008, from the 2nd to the 9th August. Come and join Peter in the beautiful Languedoc-Roussillon region of France, and take part in a fantastic week of singing, laughing, exploring and relaxing in a truly peaceful venue. This year will see us again at our favourite venue - the beautiful La Maison Verte in the small town of Roujan.
Singers of all abilities are welcome - the workshop is suitable for beginners through to those who would regard themselves as experts. The emphasis of the week is fun and support for the whole group, and has been an extremely rewarding and fulfilling experience for previous participants.
Each day starts with about 3 hours of singing instruction, covering voice production, placement, control of the diaphragm, abdominal muscles, and breathing. The technical and emotional aspects of performance are also considered and developed during the morning sessions.
The afternoons are yours to spend as you want, perhaps exploring the village of Roujan and the surrounding countryside. Trips to nearby towns and attractions are usually arranged as decided by the group. In the evenings the group eats and relaxes outside, often barbequeing, or on one or two occasions we organise an evening out at one of the excellent local restaurants. The week culminates in an informal performance night, with the local inhabitants invited to come and listen to us sing and enjoy a class of wine or two.
